Sheamus Lands A WWE Title Belt...

Oh yes, the legacy has begun! Former two-time Irish Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy has laid waste to all contenders and won himself (and Ireland) a WWE title... Less than a year after landing a 3 year WWE contract the gargantuan Cabra man has become the Florida Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champ... COME ON!

So you can imagine how excited we are today that our good friend Sheamus O'Shaunessy has got his massive maulers on an actual WWE title and joins the ranks of legends like Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior and The Rock... This isn't just a big deal folks, this is feckin' HUGE! Less than one year ago ‘SOS’ moved to Florida after being drafted into the WWE's FCW development territory - he's now the champ after grappling the title from Jack Swagger last night...

The TV taping in the FCW Arena last night was the third time in three weeks that 'The Irish Curse' and Jack Swagger faced each other for the belt...Sheamus won Match #1 via disqualification, Swagger won Match #2 by cheating. So there was massive hype and build-up before Sheamus won Match #3 when Swagger tried to use his title belt as a weapon but missed leaving him open to a Bicycle Kick to the face from SOS and a huge ChokeBomb for the pinfall! Congrats to Sheamus and congrats to the WWE & FCW for seeing the potential in the giant Irishman and giving him a title shot... We're predicting next year will be the year the whole world wakes up Sheamus O'Shaunessy. Finally, a true Irish Superstar. Excited much.
